2025 Events
June 19-21 - John Brown Jamboree
A three-day long celebration featuring a parade down Main Street, plus a carnival, live music, and various fun contests.
June 28th - Lights on the Lake
Held at the Osawatomie Lake, this is the first Fourth of July celebration in the area, and the only one where the fireworks are set to music.
Sept 19th - Chamber's Golf Tournament
Sept 20-21 - Freedom Festival
A two-day event held in the John Brown Park featuring Civil War-era reenactments, handcrafts, music and food.
Oct 31st - Halloween Parade
Enter in the costume contest, then march in the parade and finish with Trick-or-Treat with local businesses on Main Street
Dec 6th - Christmas Festival
A festive day that includes shopping at the vendor fair, photos with Santa, a dance recital, a Christmas lights tour, and the Mayor's Christmas tree lighting.
